Good food for good life
Good food for good life
In 1930 a North American dentist wanted to investigate where does caries come from. He abandoned his laboratory and microscopes and went out to the wild to meet different ethnic groups. And he discovered that the healthiest people where to be found - guess where: In the nature! So the dentist found out that the indigenous people living far away from "civilization" had not only the healthiest teeth but were also strong from their physics. And what comes to the teeth, I guess these people definitely not used toothbrushes nor Colgate toothpaste. Indigenous tribes that the dentist was researching were Indians from the Peruvian Amazon and coast, aboriginals from Australia, Maori people from New Zealand, Eskimos etc. The combining fact was that all these communities followed their traditional diet. On the contrary the members of the community who had abandoned the traditional way of life had the same kind of western health problems that all the others, living in the "civilization". Therefore it had to have something to do with the diet.
So what was that these indigenous people ate?
The doctor found out, that a central aspect in their diet where certain food of animal origin that where rich in nutrients but nowadays are considered almost dangerous for your health. But these animal fats where important for the vitamins and minerals to absorb. These animal fats where to be found especially in the dairy products of animals eating fresh green plants. Also these important fats where to be found in fish, organs (eg. liver), eggs and seafood.
Not only where these people healthy, they were also happy, cheerful and balanced in their emotional life.
Here some key points in the diets of indigenous people:

So it´s not brain surgery nor space science - but NATURAL THINGS!
So easy to forget though.. How many of us sacrifice a couple of hours of sleep for the next day´s work project or prefieres to stay in front of the television rather than go out and have a jog. I confess. But although in the fuss of everyday life these things are easy to forget, they should not be. The accumulating effect of forgetting them deteriorates fast and the recovering might be a bit more difficult.
So clean your calendar to place there time for the most important things - good food, exercise, rest, not forgetting social contact with your beloved ones. And there you´ll have it - a balanced and happy life. With the same wise recepy that our ancesters and today´s indigenous people are using.
